Triton Hockey Day

A belated thank you to Victoria Minor Hockey Association and the Triton Women's hockey team. They put on a great one day session for girls to try out hockey. My daughter got to hang up her figure skates for a day and shoot the puck with some great coaches and kids. It was a wonderful afternoon - Thank you!

I also got to learn a bit about a very neat program called H.E.L.P (Hockey Equipment Lending Program) This program, through the City of Victoria, helps kids access hockey equipment so that they can play. Unfortunately, the high cost of gear and ice time keeps some kids away from sport. H.E.L.P makes it possible for some families to get their kids out on the ice. What an amazing program.
